Shift Shots 12/07/09

Well here it is, the last of 2009 shift shots. I know, I know, It's about time!!!

Greenpoint, Brooklyn

from what I've seen some of the best work on walls is in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. But I pretty much know that my all city sights is actually quite limited, and that alone says a lot about this city. I am pretty sure that there is even better work out in the Bronx, perhaps Staten Island, etceteras. But anyhow Greenpoint definitely showcases some of the best. Oh I guess I'm grouping Greenpoint Brooklyn and Long Island City Queens in one group because both neighborhoods border each other across a bridge, or two.

Anyway. now that the shift shots for 2009 is done, I'll get on with the sorting for the 2009 portfolio post of the best of the best for that year, than it's on to 2010.

LOVE THIS... when u were in Cali..., did u go to downtown L.A? u would of loved the murals painted on the walls of the tunnels of the frwy. there!.A few of them done by a famous artist whose name has slipped my brain, but u would recognize his work... he did a mural of Kramer ( Seinfeld) as well as other stars...

Hi... I'm just loving your pics...and can't wait for the 2010 ones!

You are subscribed to my Solomon Islands blog, but I just found out that since I had to make it private (due to not being able to write too much in a public forum when I'm 'representing' the Aus government) you probably can't see it anymore. If you are still wanting to see it please drop me an email at katp@internode.on.net and I'll send you an 'invite'.

Thanks again for your great pics,

Katrina

I just found your blog. It's wonderful. I love the contemporary shots, and also the old cabs. I lived in the city from birth to age 11, which covered the 1950's. As taxis gradually changed over to more modern ones - without jump seats - well, that seemed like a major sea change in my world. Well, you know..kids..
