no more advertising in the comment section

Please. There is a reason comment moderation is done by me. I do not want my blog to turn into another waste basket of internet throw ups. I figured up until this point that as long as you say something nice and don't apply a sales pitch with your link given in the comment section than so be it, I let you slide and post a comment. No more, it's too much. from this point forward if anybody, even people who have sites similar to mine wish to provide links to their sites in my comments section, they are shit out of luck

thank you.

everyone hates that.
those people who are like 'come follow my blog'
when you get blog of note, you have about a month of that non stop, and random links to porn sites in Chinese, at least that is what happened to me, on my old blog

I've never seen your blog or even looked in the blogs of note tab prior to today. Saw the link and came over. Read the top post and instantly felt compelled to leave a comment saying hear effin hear on that one!!

oh exactly, I'm glad we all share the same whatever experience with this, what the hell?! it's like ten times over, before the blog of note mention people had to be a little more calculating, or at least their blog would relate to mine in some way, or... perhaps at least be a blog... yeah oddly this blog never got the chinese porn site one, but the tips for cab drivers one i co-write gets them every time.

Oh dear, I am sorry. This is a huge problem for many people. I receive shrieking taunts that I am "China" (wha?) for moderating comments on one blog. The other--I can't even take them any longer. The nadir was a post for Anne Frank's birthday last year (yes). Criminy.

I look forward to browsing your marvellous blog. And I'm not even going put in my google name so the blogs don't pop up. No URL.

Cheers.

Susan

oh thanks, I'm not that gangbusters I appreciate people with blogger names, it's just when they say "you'll love my site," and then copy and paste in their url address.

I really enjoy your blog. A lot of blogs that people have that speak about their lives are bland and boring, but I like reading about your life. I hope, though, that one day for you money isn't so tight anymore.

oops, I'd like to thank that comentor for noting that I can turn on and of the settings for html and for the links to author names. I was going to publish it, but I accidentally deleted with another comment that was leaving a url.

Congrats on being a blog of note! I enjoyed reading your life as a taxi driver, as it's much different from the life I've lived in Texas. Currently in Chicago but unfortunately, have to move back!

why you are thinking to stop this? remember, it will be letting you know about the feedback of your users.

There is a setting that you can moderate within a time frame so those automated comments wont fill your comment section...I've been using it for a few months and it has saved me LOADS of time deleting the nonsense. Great stuff as usual bro.
