This pilot program that started yesterday will give you (the cab driver) the short haul ticket you need to come back and arrive at the short haul line when you drive a customer to any of these towns in Nassau County, Long Island: Lawrence, Cedarhurst, Woodmere, Inwood, Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett Harbor, Hewlett Neck, Hewlett, Woodsburgh, and North Woodmere. These fares are already doubled at the border (rate 5), plus you get to queue up quicker for a second ride of 45- 50 bucks to Manhattan.
